Taiwan IX - New Years
Baby and I went up to Taipei to celebrate New year's eve with the crew again. We arrived really late at about 2am due to the congested traffic and heavy rain. We stayed over at Maomao's place for the whole weekend.

The next day, we woke up really late because we stayed up to chat till 4am in the morning! So much for being efficient and saving time to shop =_=. We got ready and left at about 4pm to 西门町. We proceeded to the shops since Joyce wanted to look for a pair of boots to change into.
This was where we saw this crowd of people laughing and jeering and taking pictures of a guy dancing and jumping around. Apparently he is mentally retarded as stated on the cardboard paper infront of him. I think it's abit dodgy because if he was really mentally retarded, I wouldn't think that he'd write that on a cardboard about himself and dance around for money!

We decided to pamper ourselves, so Joyce, Alice, the boyfriend and I went to the nearest hair salon to get our hair washed and styled for tonight. The boyfriend just shrugged and tagged along. Funny thing was after my hair was done, I thought it ended up looking like my old hairstyle. -_- So much for a change huh.

Hehehe, actually we were also waiting for Joyce and had nothing better to do, so Alice started shooting away with the camera. Oops, she got cut out in this picture.

Ah, there we go. Alice is always naturally high, and she's really contagious. Hahaha, one of the hair salon guys fell for her and practically walked her to the train station and carried her bags for her. This was from another hair salon and he also asked for her number. What the hell right hahaha. Silly Alice in Wonderland.

That was how the back of my hair turned out to be. Okay la, not too bad I guess. Not very close to what I wanted though.

Alice and Joyce. They are both high in different ways. I thought that Joyce's hair turned out really nice! Alice wanted curly hair as well but changed her mind after, because the last time she was wearing this pink dress at her sister's engagement and had her hair styled curly, everyone ended up calling her King Kong Barbie. -_-" They are mean, you know I didnt call you that Alice!

We then headed to Partyworld to stock up on alcohol in our bodies. Hahaha, our plan was to be high enough to enjoy the countdown near Taipei's famous 101 tower, but some of them got abit tipsy. Hics. It wasn't me. Alice left early to head back to another state.

We started off with just a few of us as the others hadn't finished work yet. We were early anyway, got to Partyworld at about 7pm. Thanks to Stephen for booking a room in advanced, otherwise the whole place was fully booked out.

Jessie, one of my old Brissie friends who I haven't seen for two years or so. Great catching up again! She moved to New Zealand to study and comes back to Taiwan half a year once!

Then more and more people started pouring in. I was busy drinking after so didn't get to take a pic of the later group of people, sorry whoever I missed!

At about 11.30pm, we left partyworld and rushed to get here in time for the fireworks. There was no way we could get close to the tower since the place was fully packed to the core. Man, I've never seen so many people in one place in a long time. Everyone trying to take pictures. My camera didn't have the night mode. -_- Daddy, I want a new camera! !#$%@^& to that person with the big head!

That's how faraway we were from the fireworks. Boo hoo, oh well.

Happy new yearz babe, I love you :)

Finally, the last planned schedule was to go to Luxy to boogie the night away. The place was thronged with all the party people, I met up with Ashley and Katy there, brissie friends!

The music wasn't so happening though. Funny how the crowd was still so enthusiastic. Just some old hip hop and rnb music. I thought that the Deejay was pretty crap that night. The selection of music, so hard to move to. To all you pink fans, wee look.. pink lights!

We squeezed ourselves into the crowd and managed to get to the front.

Heheheh, er... we are the five-headed Siamese baby!

Anybody knows who they are?

After some awkward movements on the dance floor, we headed back to our table for some alcohol and drinking games.

I think Stephen got lucky that night hahaha :P

The girl in the middle is Cynthia, one of Jessie's New Zealand friends.

Hehehe, we were like, "Hey gotta take a picture for Kanny to see!" That's only because Kanny misses Jessie like crazy haha. They were besties before.

"Everybody quick! Act bored, Shaz is holding a camera again!"

The lights were pretty hot though. Madonna says purple is in now!
The lights changed from purple, to green, to red, to blue and and.. I lost count after.

Goodbye 2005, I will remember all the good memories and try to forget the bad. There weren't any bad ones really, but they could've been better!
Let's hope 2006 will be a good one, filled with lotsa love, luck, happiness, and a graduation for me -_-" PRAY BABY, PRAY HARD!
2006 is going to be a year of travelling and being apart for my family and I. My brother will be heading to Europe for his career, so all the best for him, I know he'll be fine! Some of my cousins are planning to leave Brisbane for a better future elsewhere, while those that were away are planning to move back to Brissie. Here's to hoping that it'll be the best decision!

As for me, I will be praying to graduate by June, travel around after, learn more Chinese, and then find a job! Reckon it'll go smoothly for me? I hope so too!
