Hellboy

Just heard the bad news today, Hellboy passed away two days ago. It's been more than two years, and he has been sick for quite some time. Maybe it is for the better, at least he isn't suffering now. Thanks to the coussies at cromwell for mummying him ever since I left brisbane.

He was there for me while I went through LDR madness for one year plus. He was there for me throughout my sleepless nights. He was there for me when I was bored and all alone. Most of you probably think that fishies don't make much of a pet just because you can't carry them, touch them or play with them. Well you're wrong.

All those times I spent lying in bed watching him swim around for hours, him waking me up in the middle of the night smashing into his own reflection, him swimming up to my two fingers as I hold onto his food pellets, oh boy. I'll make sure I never have pets again unless I know I'm settling permanently in a country. I wasn't there for you, I feel so sorry hellboy. :'(

Rest in peace hellboy, I'm missing you.

Our happy memories - The first pic is of hellboy in the bag as I proudly brought him home with me for the first time after leaving petcity. The second pic is what I see on my bedside table looking at me enthusiastically every time I went to bed.

Hellboy and his imaginary friend, his reflection. That was when he was still so healthy and very ferocious.
Love always, Hellboy.Y

Aww.

Meet the princess at home. She's mom's favourite, a stuck up biatch who doesn't give two effs about people. She'll be nice to you when she feels like it. When she doesn't, just throw her a doggy treat or two and she'll be your next bestfriend. If she doesn't get what she wants, she'll just have to throw this nonchalant look at you...

eeks, puppy dog eyes... and it just works everytime. You'll want to give her anything in the world ;) Hehehe, okay she's not that bad, only when she pms-es. Usually she's just freaking adorable and mischievious. It's good to see her again :)

him: 3mths of hols is just too long!
her: why, you miss me already?

him: no, i just thought u might miss me too much
her: oh, how considerate.

him: :D

Hellboy's Guardian

Since I'm over in Taiwan for Easter holidays, I had to look for a guardian angel to take care of Hellboy for me while I was away for the moment. So guess who's hands he is unsafely in right now? My lil coussie yen yen has been kind enough to take him in for me! Except she is evil! Yes, little miss evil angel! She's been torturing me with her, "heh heh heh, have no fear, I'll be very very very nice to Hellboy...rahahaha!".

Very convincing huh. -_-" She's been filling me with her little wicked plans she's laid out for our little Hellboy. Oh well, I know she lubs me as much as she lubs me little Hellboy, so I have nothing to worry about! Hehehe, don't vomit la cous. :p

So I clicked on her link to read her blog today, and guess what I saw? So the devilish blood does run in our genes huh. This is just pure evil evil evil evil evil!
Anybody thinks he's trying to tell me something? :p

Shih Tzu

Since my family and I own a Shih Tzu, I’ve decided to dedicate a post to our darling baby.

Above, are a few shots of my family’s beloved, Princess Anastacia, Stacey for short, a pure bred Shih Tzu. Don’t you reckon she’s so freaking adorable? We love her to bits!

In the dog fancier's world, Shih Tzu is pronounced as "Sheed Zoo", and it means lion dog in Chinese. The ancestors of the perky Shih Tzu descended from Tibetan temple dogs, and some were given to the Chinese centuries ago as tribute gifts during the Tang Dynasty. They were carefully bred in the Imperial Palace of Peking and drawings showed a likeness to the lion, an important Buddhist symbol. It became known as the chrysanthemum dog because of its facial hair growing in all directions, which resembled the petals of this flower.

The Shih Tzu dog is a small but sturdy dog breed. It is lively and very alert, with a long flowing double coat in all colours. Compact and solid, possessing weight and substance, the Shih Tzu dog has a distinctive arrogant appearance, with head held high and tail curved over his back. It walks proudly, has a happy, outgoing, and affectionate temperament, friendly, loves human togetherness, bonding to the whole family, which makes a perfect companion. Shih Tzu grooming and exercise needs are minimal, only needing a regular coat brushing and a daily walk.

The Shih-Tzu attitude is lively, alert, proud, and somewhat stubborn. The general appearance of the breed is that of a small, compact, sturdy dog with luxurious coat, upright head, jaunty step, and plumed, curved tail flowing over the back.

The head is round, broad, and wide between the eyes, and in balance with the rest of the dog. The dark eyes are large and round; the ears are natural and heavily feathered; the muzzle is square, short and unwrinkled, and flat; lips and chin should neither protrude nor recede. The jaw is undershot - the incisors of the lower jaw overlap the incisors of the upper jaw. Their body is slightly longer than tall, its legs straight and muscular, and its feet firm and well-padded.

The lavish double coat is the breed's crowning glory. A well-groomed Shih Tzu in natural coat is a picture of perky elegance with flowing tresses framing an impish face. Pet Shih Tzu often have their hair trimmed so it does not drag, but at ringside, the dogs often sit on velvet or satin pillows or are carried in exhibitor's arms to keep their coats off dusty floors.

The Shih Tzu coat can be any colour or mixture, but many Shih Tzu are white with coloured markings. There are approximately 23 - 26.7cm tall, and weigh 4.5 - 8.1kg.

Although they are generally outgoing and friendly, the Shih Tzu definitely have attitude that cries to be spoiled. If you need help in realizing this fact, the dog will steer you in the right direction with his self-assurance that he should be treated like royalty. Indeed, their strong sense of self makes them a poor choice in a household with babies or small children as they are often jealous of babies and toddlers and may snap if bothered by rambunctious children.

Shih Tzu are active and alert, qualities that make them good watchdogs. However, poorly bred dogs of the breed can be excitable, noisy, and snappy. They are intelligent, and can be trained for obedience competency and for good manners around the home. They can be stubborn, so persistence and consistency are definite plusses in training methods. Punishment makes this dog shut down, so training should also be low-key and motivational.

Basically healthy, the Shih Tzu is subject to a kidney disease called renal dysplasia and to slipped stifles or kneecaps. His slightly protruding eyes are prone to injury, and his short muzzle often produces slight wheezing problems. Otherwise, their greatest problems are connected to their profuse coat, or rather to neglect of that coat. A well-groomed Shih Tzu has few if any skin problems. Poorly-groomed Shih Tzu can develop tangles, painful mats, hot spots, skin infections, and even maggot infestations (:0).

If you do have time for grooming and appreciate a small, lively pet with an abundance of self-esteem, consider the Shih Tzu. You'll be glad you did.

Go get ‘em peeps :D

Hellboy

How silly of me to think that my run of bad luck would hopefully become better after I wake up the following day. Instead...
it worsened.
I woke up to feed my fighting fish, Hellboy, yesterday morning only to find him looking really pale-coloured and more inactive than usual. Actually no, this was very unusual. I have always been proud of Hellboy, because he was one of those extraordinary fishes that were extremely active and entertaining to watch. You could trigger him just by placing a fake picture of another fighting fish and Hellboy would bare out his fins and tail, going crazy with anger.

Usually when i feed him, he'd swim around really enthusiastically, darting out of the water towards my finger to bite it, thinking that I have his food on my finger whenever I tease him. Yesterday, he was just resting at the bottom of the fish bowl, looking rather stagnant, swimming upwards from time to time for air. I got really worried and thought it might be the water, so i changed it, and he still wasn't any better after sometime. Then i thought it might be the temperature of the water, so i put a desk light on top of the fish bowl to keep the water warmer in the bowl as this was what I normally did when the water was abit too cool.
I must've realised too late because after that when i went to class reluctantly, babes rang me and told me that... Hellboy died.

What's wrong with me?!?! Sigh.

Later that day, I had to stay back in uni to finish up my Company accounting assignment with my partner and a friend of mine exclaimed that he worked in Eagleboys, so we could get a pizza and delivered to uni just for eight bucks. I was thinking to myself, hmm... maybe my luck isn't that bad after all. So I ordered one and tadahh! After forty minutes went by, his friend called him up to say that they couldnt find our uni, so he gave up and went back to deliver other orders. Oh my god! Even pizza?! What the hell is going on!

This afternoon, I came home from uni, lit some lavender scented candles to soothe my nerves, and for some reason, I hadn't noticed that the glass holding the candle had cracked, therefore the liquid wax consequently leaked down my desk and onto my carpet ...staining it purple!

This entry will not be continued because...
Sharon's bawling her eyes out now

Selling Puppies at the Market in Thailand

When my brother, Brendan, and his friend, Esther, went for a trip to Bangkok, they came back with heaps of amazing photos, all the memories of their fun and exciting summer vacation. While flipping through their photos, I came across these pictures and couldn't help saving them into my hard disk :P

These pictures of the puppies are sooo damn bloody adorable! But I have to say, the poor darlings must be having a hard time tripping all over themselves in that tiny cage of theirs. Apparently they are suppose to be all pure bred puppies with certificates and everything, but they make it seem as if they weren't worth much value, selling them at the market for prices alot cheaper than what we have here in Australia or in Malaysia! Look at the way they sell puppies, throwing them all into a small cage, its no wonder they all look forlorn and sad :(

I miss my baby shih tzu in Malaysia!! I want a puppy here... >.<

Weird Accessories

You know how people always say that pets usually seem to evolve to look like their owners unintentionally after some time, well i sure think that this poodle has definately been deliberately accessorized!
