New Zealand - Maruia Springs

If you click here, you'll see last year's post with alot more details regarding Maruia Springs and some old photos from last year when we first went there.

After weeks of staying in Christchurch and hearing that cherry wouldn't be joining us in nz, we packed our bags and got ready for our long journey. Our first destination was at Maruia Springs for two days and one night, and then followed by a long picturesque scenery drive all around the mountains before heading back to Christchurch.

We stayed only for two days and one night, which was pretty much sufficient for lazing around and using the private spas and rockpools. I didn't take as long to get into the rock pool this time hehe. The last time we came here, I probably took like 15minutes just to get in half way hahaha. And thank god there were no sandflies this time round! I was planning to buy a bottle of ridsect from the counter but after I saw the price I was flabberghasted! That small bottle of ridsect was way overpriced man. Screw that shit. I'm glad I didn't buy it in the end, otherwise it would've been such a rip off ei. Meh.

The drive there took around nearly 3 hours. I was like, "are we there yet? are we there yet!!! are we thereeeee yet?!!" And he'd go, "No... no!!! nooo!!! Arghh... it's killing me stop asking!!!!", and I'd smirk with satisfaction knowing that I've finally annoyed him wahaha. He is easy eh.

The weather that day was pretty cold, and it drizzled intermitently. Oh the scenery to Maruia Spring is always so beautiful. Here are some pictures, I know, it's been taking me so long to upload these piccies hey. I've only got dialup at home remember.

Loved the lightings in the lobby and the room.

Important things to keep warm, I'd be dead frozen without 'em.

At the rockpool! I love it even though the water stinks heh.

This is where you have your old fashion massage. How does it work? Just sit there and let the pressure of the water fall onto your shoulders or your back. When it hits the right pressure points, it sure feels real good!

Dinner time! The food tasted pretty good, but just a tab bit too salty. The desert was superb! Slurps.

Hahaha, bet all you guys would love to be in here where the sign says...

Overall, Maruia Spring is an awesome place if you're looking for a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The two times I've been there, it's never been crowded and noisy... nice! :)
