Jetskiing and Fishing
Early last week, bigbadwolf's brother-in-law, Nathan, called up to ask if we wanted to go for some water sports. He covered the transmitter and whispered, "babe!wannagojetskiingonfriday?".
"Wahoooo! Of course of course!" I exclaimed almost too enthusiastically forgetting that Nathan was still on the phone. I swear I could hear him laughing on the phone. -_-" Now now, that usually happens when a bird's been caged in for too long. Not. That was total desperation shazzo, can you like, spell dignity?
Ha ha ha. What..everrr!
When the day came, I thought I was all ready to leave.
swimmers. check.
towels. check.
a change of clothes. check.
repeat top three for bigbadwolf. check.
junk food. check
chocolates (yes its a category on its own). check.
bottle of water. check.
bigbadwolf's wallet. check.
Ten minutes after we left, I realised thatwe (chuckles outloud. 'Sif he ever packs! Okay, maybe sometimes.) I forgot sunscreen! Oh dang, nevermind. It was too late to turn back as we had to follow Nathan's car to get to the destination.
That's Nate's car upfront with the trailer. It was a sunny day, lovelae! Poo... check out bigbadwolf, what a crankypoo!

What would've taken only an hour took almost two hours for us to get to Lake Hood in Ashburton as the driver upfront had to drive cautiously because of the trailer. Not that I was complaining la, I'm serious! It's a free water recreation area where rich old farts get to retire in luxury and the richie riches get to live in their dream houses. How cool would that be to say, "Ma, I'm just outside the house kayaking with the neighbour, I'll be back in an hour aiit!"

Okay back to reality. That's Nathan unloading the goods. There were a few other families speedboating, water skiing, fishing, and just swimming and tanning.

This was my first time driving the jetski. I'm usually the passenger, but not anymore! Hahaha. Okay, so it was abit of a struggle at the beginning. I fell once, to bigbadwolf's delight. Few minutes later, I mastered it and was da pro yo hahaha!

Tadahh, who da man! Who's you momma! Wahaha. We took turns on the jetski. The wind and the water was freaking cold, Bigbadwolf chickened out as there weren't any extra wetsuits left.

So he opted to fish. That's him preparing his bait. I wished him well, and that he'd catch a mermaid.

Yeah, he tried all day, not a mermaid in sight. aww. I was trembling after. The sun went down, and damnit it was cold! I got sun burnt too, although I'm still figuring how that happened. The sun was already down by the time we arrived, and I was wearing a wetsuit! Ouch. (T_T #)

It was great fun! My fingers are aching now though. I hold on too tightly whenever I speed. That's what happens when you're a chicken who likes to play with fire. :p
