My First Minute of New Years Day

I spent my new year's eve with bigbadwolf at the city centre. We were waiting in anticipation with the rest of the crowd to see the beautiful fireworks when the clock strikes twelve, the very first day of our new year 2007.

For the first time in Christchurch, I saw so many people together at one go. I was thinking to myself, god damn finally there is a freaking crowd, hooray! Hahaha, if you didn't know Christchurch has a very small population, so there is never traffic jam over here, not that I know of anyways. The excitement from the crowd was so contagious, it got me feeling alil jumpy, switching to partae mode!

Christchurch is breathtakingly beautiful even at night. The medieval buildings and cathedral, the iridescent lights, the greens, oh so awesome! Here's the loud and proud crowd gathering to await the new year.

Tried to take a close up of whoever was playing that night. Failed indefinately -_-". Me and bigbadwolf. Seriously, he is a meanie poo hehe.

I was tryna take a picture of this group of elderlies with their fancy shimmery wigs, I swear they were more of a party animal compared to us. We were just, er, boring. So one of them decided to be funny and took a picture of me instead, rolling over and laughing after the shot. Okay he didn't literally. So much for ruining my shot!

The clock finally struck twelve, and the crowd were cheering and clapping, everyone hugging and kissing. Then straight after, the flashes started going on non stop to capture the fireworks.

The fireworks went on for quite a few minutes, lovelae lovelae~ I was busy taking pictures as always hehehe.

We soon left and headed for the clubs. We went to Coyote, one of the clubs that most of the asians go to. They played awesome rnb songs, but hell it was so packed, we were rubbing against strangers, shoulders crashing into shoulders. Met up with bigbadwolf's friends and he bumped into his exhighschool friends. Had a few bottles of Jim-Bean-cokes, and partied the night away. There were a few fights here and there, broken glasses everywhere.

I met a few of his Malaysian friends, most of them are from Kuching. I kinda noticed something, lotsa kuching people appreciate art eh, 'cause they are usually heavily tattooed on the arms, so far I've notice four or five of them! :p Well most of 'em in the party scene do. I told his friend that and he said, "yeah.. because kuching is smaller, so we gotta look fiercer than you kl peeps! growl!"

Heh heh, ahh.... :P

We went to the carnival and the beach the next day, photos up next post! ;) I hate hate hate the cold weather, but ain't gonna let it get to me grr. Happy new year people!
