Give it Up to the Pigs Y'all

Happy Chinese New Year!

It's the year of the pig this time round, one of my favourite in the animal kingdom. oink oinks. My nick on mirc used to be oinkIe (and thats oink-i-e and not oink-L-e la), so every year for my birthday, I'd definitely receive lotsa piggy pressies. Eversince then, I've always asked myself whyyyy oh whyyyy didn't I nickname myself diamond. :P

My email address has the word pig in it as well. I had it since I was twelve or thirteen? It's too much of a hassle to change it now since I've used it for alot of websites, msn messenger, and most of my long lost friends out there only know of this email.

Almost all my lecturers laughed at it, a few people wondered what the reason was behind it, and how childish it is for me now. :p My explanation was always because I've had it since I was thirteen, and it came about because I loved to sleep. Whenever people called or asked to see what I was doing, my answer would always be that I was sleeping, sleeping or still sleeping. So my ex hongkie bestie decided that I should thereby be named after the cute lil 'ol pig, hence the creation of my email address as we both set up our hotmail accounts together.

She should've just labelled me as sleeping beauty la, sounds way nicer and feminine too hey, wahaha. At least I didn't have email addresses that were like roticanai@hotmail.com, 2cute4u@hotmail.com, insertbfname_roxmysox@hotmail.com, xtc_is_my_bestie@hotmail.com, and ecetera right? Grins.

My high school friends in brissie had email addresses that had to do with 69, feiste, dontatouchme and what nots at hot mail dot coms. So when I first made friends with them and we were exchanging email addies for msn, mine obviously stood out with the pig in it hahaha. I was so not with it, where's the hardkore-ness in pigs shaz? Meh, I couldn't be bothered haha.

Now I've got a hugeass collection of pigs contributed by friends, families, and yours truly, all neatly packed and sitting in my room in Malaysia. Maybe one fine day when I have my own house, I'll have a room specially for all of 'em to sit in eh.

Oops, btw I've totally gone off topic. Anyhoo, I just wanted to wish all of you a happy and prosperous chinese new year. I hope all of you get alot of red packets and that you're all winning at your lil gambles. ;P
