Queenstown City
I'm finally back from Queenstown! It was really fun and relaxing since we stayed for five nights and six days. Instead of cramming, we had a pretty laidback good time, taking our time to enjoy everything. So what's really in Queenstown?
Queenstown is surrounded by majestic mountains and is situated on the shores of the beautiful Lake Wakatipu down south, around six hours away from Christchurch. It is also known as New Zealand's adventure capital. There are lotsa land, sea and air activities for you to do, and most of the hardkore activities are crazy as! I'm definitely not keeping bungy jumping, paragliding and any of that as an option for now haha. Oo, I hear it's also a hot spot during winter for skiing and their winter festival!
Okay, if you still don't know where it is, then it's the place where Lord of the Rings was filmed. -_- Geddit?
There are lotsa things to do if you've saved up for 'em, most of the air activities ranged from cheapest $175 which can go right up to $350 depending on what you do. The land and water activities were $100+ to $200+ bucks too. I didn't visit the LOTR scenery tour since I've never watched any of it. :p I'm serious! The only thing that's close enough to LOTR to my knowledge would be Michael Jackson's face on that hobbit or watchamacallit from fowarded email heh. Freakin'... Lil broke 'ol me winded up on a different path, the poor (wo)man's guide to having fun hahaha.
Our team consisted of bigbadwolf, bigbadmama, bigbadsis, bigbadbaby, and 0_o boring Shaz. Most of the time it was just me and bigbadwolf though. We stayed at Pineswood, walked around alot in the city, around the wharf, to the lakes and botanical gardens, and babysat bigbadwolf's niece alot since her mommy had to go to heaps of conferences everyday.
Highlights of the trip would probably be going to Minus 5 Bar and heading to Wanaka, which was about an hour or so away to get to Puzzling World. Bigbadwolf and I probably conquered most of the clubs that were around in town haha thanks to my no good addictions to groove and partae!
And against bigbadwolf's predictions being that Queenstown was all the way down south, it was not colder than Christchurch. To his advise, we all packed our long sleeves and thick clothings, making sure that we had plenty to cover us up. When we got there, omfg it was fucking summer! Fortunately I did bring a few t-shirts with me, otherwise... I'd just have to go shopping more bwahaha.
All of us were baked lobsters on the first day out, thank god for make up everything is all covered hah! Bigbadwolf was burnt so bad, his face was a-peeling hahaha!
All prepared and geared up for our long six hour drive to Queenstown.

The skies were blue, the scenery on the way down was breathtaking, as always man.

Arriving in Queenstown. It was around 930pm by then. The next day we set out on foot and headed to the city. It was around 10 minutes walk to the city.

The city and at the wharf. City is tiny.

Bigbadbaby is adorable when she's not crying. Isn't it the same for all babies?:p Mixed blood babies are so bloody cute man. Her eyes are humongous! And hah! I spotted another Club-I or Don't tell Mama club (you brissie peeps would know what I'm talking about:p) here in Queenstown, and its next to a bank too! 0_0

The casino is sooo small! Had a good half an hour there though, fruitful days! :P

The water is really clear. When I looked in I was hoping to see some pretty fishies but I found beer cans, children's toys and what nots instead. -_-"

Old-school vintage steamship which heads to Walter Peak High Country Farm for horse trekking, heritage tours, and provides bbq lunches.

Ducks waddling for food. Sun Sand Sea.

Us back at Pineswood babysitting. I swear babies have such short attention spans. And they are so ADD as well. But they just melt your heart when they giggle and smile ...until pooping and diaper changing comes along hehe. Shachia with my sunnies. Atta girl, start from young!

Okay, it was exhausting having to distract her and keep her smiling till her mommy comes home. Never mess with a baby with a hungry tummy waiting for her mommy to come back for some milk. -_-

Okay, promise more interesting photos next hehehe. Photos would be of Minus 5 bar, freaking cool and awesome experience. Here's a tip... everything is just ice ice baby!
